A hi-res gallery of A-bomb test photos. This is some really awe-inspiring stuff.

I never understood why they had to keep testing them over and over, though. I think it's pretty obvious they work, don't really see the point in further irradiating the earth just because scientists get off on seeing huge explosions - which I think is probably a big part of it.
